How do I get to the start line of my event?
Competitors will need to arrange their own transport to start locations located outside of the event site.
What if the weather isn’t on our side that weekend?
The event will go ahead rain, hail or shine. We will make safety calls across the weekend as required and changes may be made in the timetable in case of non favourable winds, thunderstorms and other weather events. Please understand your safety is our primary concern so if we need to delay start times for any reason you will be notified and this will be for your safety.
I am not a pro- can I still join in on any events?
Absolutely! We have a variety of distances and sports on offer to include social, novice and pro athletes.
If I don’t want to compete can I still come and watch?
There will be fun activities and entertainment provided across the weekend for the whole family to enjoy. Come watch the beach netball, chill with a coffee and some healthy tucker, watch the awesome athletes, explore the expo area and what’s on offer or chill with a book or listen to the cool tunes that will be playing across the weekend at race central.
I don’t have my own board? Can I hire one?
There will not be board hire on site, however we suggest you get in contact with one of the local board stores to hire a board.
Where can I park?
Please note that parking is limited on Beach St. Please ensure that you do not block any driveways or caravan park access. You will need to park elsewhere and walk back to event central. Please be aware many parts of Huskisson are 2 hour zones. Heading towards Moona Moona Creek there is lots of parking available by the beach and past the bridge.
Are food and coffee services offered at the event?
There will be local food trucks satisfying all your cravings across the event weekend. Plus Jervis Bay Brewing Co. will have a pop-up bar in a fully licenced area.
Is event central pet friendly?
Pets are allowed around event central, as long as they are kept on a leash, by the expo and on the grass and path areas. Dogs are permitted on the beach after 4pm and before 8am in the mornings. Can I register on the day?
Yes you can register on the day for all events, excluding netball, but will need relevant membership/equipment to be eligible to compete.
Will there be water safety?
Qualified Water Safety will be provided for all water based activities. There will also be a qualified medical team at the event.
Where can I leave my bags?
We will have a baggage area at event central. You just need to collect a bag tag from the Registration Tent, attach it to your bag, with your name or race number on it and present it to the baggage tent. You will need to show your event wristband or ID to collect your bag after your event.
For the swimming events, we encourage all athletes to leave their belongings at the baggage tent prior to the race. Any bags or belongings that are left at the swim starts will be returned to the baggage tent by staff, but must be numbered or have your name on them.
